Krewe Roles


All of the duties for every shift will be covered in the orientation meeting. Please remember to sign up for one on Bloomerang when they are set.

Set-Up Shift

Please do not wear your Staff shirt to these shifts. Work in a team to accomplish the following
Set Up bed frames and mattresses according to  this list 
Set Pipes and Bases in each room (these must match).
Allocate Draping in each room according to  this list 
Set up Draping on pipes
Raise Pipes
Dress Draping and Room
Test all candles/batteries
Set out Condoms, Lube, and Candles
Set up Consent Signs on tables
Assemble Dungeon Furniture

Bag Stuffing Shift

Please do not wear your Krewe shirt to this shift. Bag Stuffing is held in the Astor, St. Charles Meeting Room B. Work in a team to accomplish the following
Gather a bag from one end of the assembly line
Go down the line and put one item of each kind in your bag.
Place the finished bag in the receptacle and begin again until all are finished.
Pack up and stack all unused swag items into the corner

Registration Shift

Registration in the NOPSI is held to the left of the check-in desk. Registration at the Astor is held in St. Charles Meeting Room A on Tuesday/Wednesday and moves to the Front entrance on Thursday/Friday/Saturday.
Work in pairs to accomplish the following:
Begin the shift by placing Swag bags, event badges, and packets in easily accessible places.
Greet each attendee with a smile, ask for their name and ID, and find the corresponding packet and badge.
Give Each attendee their badge, a swag bag, and their packet.
Offer to answer any questions they might have - if you can. If there is a question that you do not know the answer to, refer to Tess or Nicki.
Keep stations clean. Offer to assist the Registration Manager (Nicki, Tess) with any needs.

Party Patrol and Direction

Off-site parties - Bar takeovers

For Bar parties, work in pairs to accomplish the following for the entirety of the shift, switching duties around halfway through.
Obtain foam-core "Private Party" signs from the Registration area of the Astor Hotel.
One Pair: stand at the entrance to the bar with the "Private Party" sign and check for event badges and day-pass wristbands (color changes daily) before allowing entry into the bar.
- If an attendee does not have their pass, remind them that they must have a badge for entry. DO NOT ALLOW ENTRY WITHOUT A BADGE OR WRISTBAND (DAY PASS).
Second Pair: roam the party to ensure attendee conduct is compliant with the expectations.

On-Site parties - Erotic Balls

For Erotic balls, roam both ballrooms at the Astor or the ballroom at the NOPSI to ensure that attendee conduct is compliant with expectations. Feel free to work as individuals or as pairs.


Playroom Shifts

Please note that at least two playroom shifts are required from EACH ambassador, with only one of those shifts being "Daytime Playtime" (12 p.m.-5 p.m.). Consider signing up for one shift at the NOPSI and one at the Astor.
For Daytime Playtime, please report to your shift at 11:45 a.m. During Evening Playfloor shifts, please report at 9:45 pm and 1:15 am. Play floor coordinators will overview and set roles for each night.

Front Entrance Duties

Work in a pair to accomplish the following:
Ensure all attendees entering meet dress-down requirements - no street clothes
Ensure all attendees entering can consent (i.e., use judgment to determine the intoxication state of all entering).
Perform bag checks to ensure only play-floor necessary items are being brought in
Ensure all drinks (other than sealed water bottles) are set on the tables at the entrance.
Fold towels, as able.

General Playfloor Duties

On the Play floor, you will be assigned a room or two to work the entire shift. Work in pairs to accomplish the following:
Ensure condoms are stocked on tables
Use "condom grabbers" to pick up any trash on the floor
Once a couple is finished playing, sanitize and re-sheet the bed they played on.
In the Group room, this is made difficult by many couples on one bed. Attempt to clean each bed approximately every 10 minutes on a rotating basis.
Alert a playfloor manager to any consent violations.

Dark Room Duties

Verbally confirm all entering the dark room are aware of the dark room policies (posted).
Keep track of the number of attendees in the room at one time (capacity: 30)
Every hour, on the hour, clean the dark room
10 minutes before, limit attendees going in.
5 minutes before, announce that the dark room will temporarily close for 10 minutes for cleaning
1 minute before, announce that the lights will be turning on.
Remove attendees from the dark room, sanitize beds, change sheets, and pick up garbage.
If any violations of policy occur, IMMEDIATELY notify Playfloor Manager and keep the reporter and all others sequestered.

Runner Duties

Keep all rooms stocked with linens, both pink cleaning and white guest towels, gloves, and cleaning solutions.
Collect pink cleaning towels for laundering as needed
Periodically Empty and maintain the Drink table and Bus Bin at the entry area
Assist Toy Room Managers with stocking and cleaning as necessary
Empty Garbage Cans
Keep Water stations Stocked and full - alert Playfloor managers when water is low.
Keep the dressing area neat and stocked with bags
Fold towels, as able.


Float Shifts

Please check in with the supervisor on duty at the beginning of your shift. If there are duties with gaps, you will be slotted into filling these. Please be familiar with other shift duties and prepared to fill in! If there are no gaps, there may be other miscellaneous tasks to be completed.

Dungeon Shifts

Host

Work as individuals to complete the following:
Greet attendees as they enter the dungeon
Offer a tour of the dungeon space
Verbally remind all attendees of dungeon guidelines and rules
Verbally remind all attendees of service Top availability and make introductions as necessary
Communicate with the Dungeon leader and staff on the availability of furniture and scheduling

Cleaning

After a piece of furniture or station is used, sanitize and refresh the station
Ensure all communal toys and implements are sanitized and returned to the group-use table

Brunch Assistance

Work in pairs to accomplish the following:
Obtain the Printed Brunch List from the on-shift supervisor at 9:30 am
Check-in with Hotel staff to confirm the Brunch Buffet start time
Collect or view tickets and highlight each attendee as they check in
Usher participants to their seats and assist them with queueing for the brunch buffet

Pool Party Monitor

Work in pairs to accomplish the following:
Ensure all attendee conduct is compliant with expectations
There is to be no sexually explicit behavior, including penetration of any kind other than french-kissing.
If a person seems to be touched without consent, ask the person if the situation is okay.
Verbally remind attendees that the pool is topless-optional, NOT clothing-optional (i.e., all swimsuit bottoms must stay on).
Assist Pool Staff with clean-up of unattended drinks, straws, other garbage, etc.
Assist Pool Staff with VIP Cabana direction and signage.
Report all issues to On-Shift Supervisor.

Comedy/Piano Bar Assistance

Work in Pairs or as individuals to accomplish the following:
Obtain Napkins and paper plates from the On-Shift Supervisor before shift - place them under tables in the back of the Piano Bar
Assist Comedians/Artists set up as necessary
At midnight, receive Midnight Pizza in the Lobby and set up on tables with napkins and paper plates.
If the bar in the Piano Bar is not staffed by hotel staff, please call Kendra ASAP

Education Assistance

Work in pairs or as individuals to accomplish the following:
Assist educators and presenters in finding their designated space and setting up, if requested.
If there is a last-minute request or issue, please notify Myrina ASAP.
Assist attendees with finding the correct hall and session.
Be available to answer questions and assist in the turnover of rooms as soon as a session is complete.

Ball Decoration

Work as a team to accomplish the following:
Obtain the decorations for the evening theme from the back of the house area.
Check with the on-shift supervisor to see if there are any sponsor-specific decorations or literature to accompany
Use creativity to decorate the Grand Ballroom with theme-specific decorations.

Meet and Greets

Work as a team to accomplish the following:
Obtain the Meet and Greet Box (or specific themed box) from the On-duty Supervisor
Greet each attendee/couple as they enter
Keep count of attendees at each meet and greet
Hand out nametags and markers to attendees as they enter
Familiarize yourself with specific Meet and Greet Game(s) or questions for each offering
If applicable, assist the Social Director in facilitating the games and questions
Return the Meet and Greet to the Registration desk

Mixers

Work in pairs to accomplish the following:
Obtain the Mixer Box from the On-duty Supervisor
Greet each couple as they enter
Keep count of attendees as they enter
Hand out nametags and markers to attendees as they enter
Return the Mixer box to the Registration desk

Speed Dating or Naked Speed Dating

Work in pairs to accomplish the following:
Obtain the Speed dating box from the On-duty Supervisor
Keep count of attendees as they enter
Hand out nametags and markers to each attendee as they enter
Assist in guiding all attendees to tables or around
